Le marché de la vidéo s’est profondément transformé au cours des dix dernières années passant d’une configuration où le physique était dominant à la dématérialisation des supports.Voici la répartition des segments de la vidéo sur les dix dernières années publiée par le Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) et produite par AQOA sur la partie transactionnelle. Il en résulte une croissance globale de plus de 23 % du CA du marché de la vidéo en 2020 par rapport à 2019, alimentée par la VàD en augmentation de 41,5% VS une diminution de 27% pour la vidéo physique.
